At Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, the festive season opens with a couture installation created in collaboration with Maison Schiaparelli. The piece turns the hotel’s beachfront setting into a study in celestial light, sculptural form and precise workmanship.
Schiaparelli’s Celestial Heritage Reimagined
The installation draws on one of Schiaparelli’s most intimate themes – the stars. Echoing Elsa Schiaparelli’s early fascination with astronomy, the design references the Zodiac narrative and reinterprets its cosmic symbolism through 960 golden metal rods in three finishes, radiating like a contemporary constellation.
At its centre beats a sculptural red heart inspired by Daniel Roseberry’s Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2025–26 collection. Built on a 3D-printed frame and set to pulse at 60 beats per minute, the piece merges traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, forming a visceral focal point adorned with 1,458 Swarovski crystals.
