THE TBM WEEKLY EDIT
Soft tailoring, modern diamonds and a few unexpected design objects
Hello Beauties,
This week’s Dubai Luxury Weekly Edit is less about one particular mood and more about the pieces that make a wardrobe — or even a room — feel more interesting. Röhe brings movement to a clean ivory midi skirt, Monica Vinader keeps diamond jewellery beautifully understated, Marni reworks the slingback with playful detailing, while Nike and S.T. Dupont add two unexpected objects to the mix. Five pieces, five very different reasons to want them.
01 — Röhe Fringed Midi Skirt
Röhe’s ivory midi skirt proves that quiet dressing does not have to mean minimal detail. The clean column silhouette is interrupted by asymmetric fringe, bringing movement and texture to an otherwise restrained piece. It is particularly strong when styled tonally, where the detail can stand out without making the look feel overly styled.
The TBM Note
Ivory, cream and soft stone shades are the strongest pairing here. Keeping the palette restrained makes the fringe feel polished rather than bohemian.
02 — Monica Vinader Oval Diamond Earrings
Monica Vinader keeps diamond jewellery refreshingly uncomplicated. Small gold hoops are finished with suspended oval diamond details, adding enough light and movement to feel special while remaining restrained enough for everyday wear. The scale is precisely what makes them versatile.
The Detail
The suspended diamond changes the character of a classic small hoop without turning it into an occasion-only piece.
03 — Marni Lace-Up Slingback Pumps
Marni takes the pointed slingback somewhere less predictable. The polished black silhouette remains elegant, but contrasting laces and decorative detailing across the front introduce the slightly offbeat character the house does so well. They make simple tailoring feel immediately more individual.
How We’d Wear It
With cropped black trousers, a white shirt and almost no jewellery. The shoe already provides enough personality.
04 — Nike Pigalle Basketball
Not everything in the Weekly Edit needs to live in a wardrobe. Nike’s Pigalle basketball arrives in a soft green finish with minimal black branding, turning a familiar sporting object into something graphic enough to leave on display. Whether it ultimately reaches the court or becomes part of an interior is almost beside the point.
Worth Knowing
Objects like this work surprisingly well beyond their original purpose. On a low shelf or next to art books, it reads almost like a piece of graphic design.
05 — S.T. Dupont Initial Cinatic Lighter
S.T. Dupont has long understood that everyday objects can carry the same design value as jewellery or a watch. This gold-tone Initial Cinatic lighter is covered in an engraved circular motif that gives the compact rectangular form real visual depth. It is unapologetically traditional, highly decorative and precisely the sort of object that feels increasingly rare.
The TBM Note
What makes it interesting is not simply function but permanence — a small object designed with the weight, finish and presence of something intended to be kept.
