Primark Mall Of The Emirates Opens In Dubai
Inside the opening-day energy, the new store experience and the pieces that caught our eye as Tanja Bock Magazin visits Primark’s latest Dubai opening at Mall of the Emirates.
Hello Beauties,
There are store openings, and then there are retail moments that immediately tell you something about where a city is heading. The opening of Primark Mall of the Emirates felt like the latter. On opening day, Tanja Bock Magazin visited the new store in person — and from the first moment, the energy inside the space was unmistakable.
Primark, in partnership with Alshaya Group, has officially opened its third Dubai store at Mall of the Emirates, following its openings at Dubai Mall and City Centre Mirdif. The new location opened with more than 36,000 square feet of ground floor retail space, with a further 8,500 square feet planned for the first floor later this year. Once complete, it will be one of Primark’s largest locations in Dubai.
But beyond the scale, the strongest impression was the way the opening was handled. The team on site created a welcoming, well-managed and genuinely joyful experience. A huge compliment to Primark and the entire team — you all nailed it.
A Major Retail Moment For Dubai
The Mall of the Emirates opening marks Primark’s third Dubai store in just two months, a clear signal of the brand’s momentum in the UAE. For Dubai shoppers, the arrival of Primark in one of the city’s most recognised shopping destinations adds another layer to the city’s already powerful retail landscape.
Located inside Mall of the Emirates, the store brings together women’s, men’s, kids’, beauty, everyday essentials, trend-led pieces, licensed collaborations and Primark’s more premium The Edit collection — all within the accessible price positioning the brand is known for globally.

The Opening-Day Energy
What stood out most was not only the ribbon cutting or the size of the store, but the atmosphere. The energy felt unique — lively, warm and genuinely exciting. It was the kind of opening where people were not simply walking through a new shop; they were experiencing a new retail destination.
The handling of the guests, the flow inside the space and the presence of the team created a strong first impression. It felt organised without feeling cold, busy without feeling chaotic and celebratory without losing the shopping experience itself.
Shopping at Primark does not only feel fun. It feels like an experience.
The Collection: Easy, Wearable, Better Than Expected
The collection felt approachable, uncomplicated and surprisingly strong in terms of material and everyday wearability. This is where Primark works particularly well: it understands that not every fashion purchase needs to feel overcomplicated. Sometimes, the pieces that become part of daily life are the ones that simply fit, feel good and make sense.
The basics were a clear highlight. The T-shirts, in particular, felt like the kind of easy wardrobe staples shoppers return for. Clean, useful and wearable, they are exactly the kind of pieces that make Primark relevant beyond trend cycles.
We also loved the swimwear selection. The two-piece styles felt fresh, simple and very Dubai — easy for pool days, beach weekends and resort dressing without overthinking the look.
What We Bought
As always, the best first impressions are the honest ones. We left with a new pair of jeans and a few additional pieces — proof that the store makes browsing feel personal rather than purely transactional.
One unexpected favourite was a brown bandana scarf finished with beautiful sparkling details. It had exactly that small-discovery feeling that makes shopping enjoyable: not planned, not overly serious, but instantly memorable.

Why Primark Works In Dubai
Dubai is one of the most sophisticated shopping cities in the world, but its retail audience is also highly practical. Shoppers here understand luxury, but they also understand value, convenience and variety. That is where Primark enters the market with a very clear proposition.
The brand offers accessible fashion across categories while keeping the store experience energetic and social. It is not simply about price; it is about making fashion feel democratic, immediate and enjoyable.
In a city where shopping is part of lifestyle culture, Primark’s arrival at Mall of the Emirates feels especially well placed.
