An intimate encounter with Les Exclusifs de Chanel, where fragrance, artistry and craftsmanship came together in true Chanel spirit.

Luxury is often defined by what is rare. Not necessarily what is expensive, visible or widely available — but what feels intentionally created for those willing to slow down and discover it.
During a recent visit to Mall of the Emirates, I had the opportunity to step inside the world of Les Exclusifs de Chanel, the House’s prestigious fragrance collection presented through an immersive experience celebrating scent, artistry and craftsmanship.
More than a fragrance showcase, the activation offered a glimpse into the creative universe behind Chanel’s most exclusive creations — a world where visual storytelling, personal expression and attention to detail remain at the heart of the experience.
A Fragrance Collection Beyond Trends
Created for those who seek individuality rather than seasonal trends, Les Exclusifs de Chanel occupies a distinct place within the world of luxury fragrance.
Presented in the collection’s signature minimalist flacons, each creation reflects a different chapter of Chanel’s universe — shaped by memory, material, place and emotion.
Rather than relying on spectacle, the collection embraces restraint, allowing the fragrances themselves to take centre stage.
Where Fragrance Becomes Art
Rather than presenting fragrance in a conventional retail setting, Chanel transformed the experience into something closer to a gallery installation.
Large-scale monochromatic artworks surrounded the fragrances, translating scent into texture, movement and atmosphere. Waves, natural forms and intricate illustrations created a visual dialogue between fragrance and artistic expression.
The result felt immersive yet understated — a balance that Chanel continues to master across categories.
Among the fragrances presented, Sycomore emerged as my personal favourite. Elegant, distinctive and quietly confident, it perfectly captured the understated sophistication that continues to define Les Exclusifs de Chanel. While each fragrance offered its own story, Sycomore was the one that drew me back throughout the experience.
The Beauty Of Human Craftsmanship
One of the most memorable moments of the experience was a live silhouette portrait created by fashion and event illustrator Diana Art.
Working entirely by hand, she transformed each profile into an elegant paper silhouette within minutes. Visitors could then choose from a selection of curated background cards onto which the artwork was mounted, creating a personalised keepsake that felt both timeless and uniquely individual.
The process was simple, yet remarkably captivating to watch. In an increasingly digital world, the presence of traditional craftsmanship felt especially meaningful and added a deeply personal dimension to the Chanel experience.
A Chanel Moment In Dubai
The Chanel presentation at Mall of the Emirates demonstrated how modern luxury extends far beyond product.
Through fragrance, art and craftsmanship, the House created an environment that felt intimate despite its scale, refined without becoming distant and memorable without ever feeling excessive.
Long after leaving the space, it was not simply a fragrance note that lingered. It was the feeling of having briefly stepped inside Chanel’s private universe — a world where beauty, artistry and emotion continue to exist in perfect balance.
