CHANEL BRINGS
CAFÉ MADEMOISELLE
TO DUBAI
There are fragrance launches, and then there are fragrance worlds.
This September, CHANEL is bringing the latter to Dubai. From 12 to 16 September 2026, Bisou at Dubai Opera Plaza becomes Café Mademoiselle Crush Absolu — a five-day takeover created around the Maison’s newest interpretation of one of its most recognisable fragrance signatures.
Instead of presenting COCO MADEMOISELLE CRUSH ABSOLU solely across a traditional beauty counter, CHANEL is extending the fragrance into an experience: part café, part campaign world and part introduction to a new chapter in the Coco Mademoiselle story.
Café Mademoiselle
arrives in Dubai
For five days, Bisou at Dubai Opera Plaza in Downtown Dubai becomes Café Mademoiselle Crush Absolu.
The limited-time activation runs from 12 to 16 September 2026 and is open to the public without an entry charge, although reservations are required.
A dedicated Coco Mademoiselle menu is available from 10am throughout the day. Bisou serves breakfast from 9am until 4pm, followed by its à-la-carte dinner offering later in the day. Complimentary valet parking is available at Dubai Opera Plaza.
The concept brings the visual language surrounding the new fragrance into a physical Dubai setting — extending COCO MADEMOISELLE beyond scent and into hospitality, atmosphere and experience.
The scent
At the centre of the story is COCO MADEMOISELLE CRUSH ABSOLU Eau de Parfum, created by CHANEL In-House Perfumer-Creator Olivier Polge.
The fragrance takes the familiar COCO MADEMOISELLE signature into a richer and more intense direction without losing the identity of the original.
The lychee and grapefruit create a bright, almost juicy first impression before rose and jasmine reintroduce the floral Coco Mademoiselle DNA. Patchouli and ambery notes then give the fragrance considerably more depth as it settles.
A new
Mademoiselle
Gracie Abrams is the new face of COCO MADEMOISELLE and fronts the CRUSH ABSOLU campaign.
CHANEL places the singer-songwriter inside Café Mademoiselle, transforming the familiar codes of a Parisian café into something more cinematic, playful and spontaneous.
The casting signals a generational shift without attempting to rewrite the fragrance’s identity. Abrams represents a younger Coco Mademoiselle woman — instinctive, independent and deliberately less polished than the traditional idea of a fragrance muse.
The Dubai activation turns that campaign world into a real destination.

Why Dubai
makes sense
Luxury beauty launches increasingly live far beyond the traditional beauty counter.
Fragrance in particular has become a vehicle for complete worlds: temporary spaces, hospitality concepts, cultural moments and environments designed to turn an invisible product into something physical.
Dubai is an obvious setting for that shift.
Here, beauty, fashion, restaurants and luxury hospitality already intersect naturally. Bringing Café Mademoiselle to Dubai Opera Plaza therefore feels less like an event added onto the fragrance and more like an extension of how luxury is increasingly experienced in the city.
A new crush,
without losing the icon.
COCO MADEMOISELLE is already an established fragrance universe. Any new interpretation has to achieve something difficult: create enough distance to feel relevant now while remaining immediately recognisable.
On paper, CRUSH ABSOLU does exactly that. Lychee and grapefruit bring an unexpected freshness to the opening, while rose, jasmine, patchouli and amber keep the composition anchored to the fragrance family that came before it.
But the most interesting part may be the way CHANEL has chosen to launch it.
Café Mademoiselle turns fragrance into a destination rather than simply a product — and in Dubai, that distinction matters.
We would go for the fragrance.
We may stay for the café.
